Hunger is a silent killer, robbing millions of their right to survive. Tonight, over 757 million people will go to bed hungry, many forced to choose between food to eat, water to drink, or a place to sleep. That’s 1 in 11 people on our planet who have too little food for their basic nutritional needs - Subhan’Allah!
At Penny Appeal, we refuse to allow this cycle of malnutrition to continue. We believe that every one of our brothers and sisters across the globe deserves access to food. That’s why we’re on a mission to Feed Our World – and you’re invited to help us.

As we enjoy the blessings on our table every evening, our gratitude to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُۥ وَتَعَالَىٰ) must go beyond words, it is our duty to ensure that all His creations are fed too.
As stated in Surah Al-Insan [76:8-9],
“The righteous are those who give food, motivated solely by their love for Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى), to the poor, the orphan, and the captive, seeking His pleasure alone without expectation of reward or thanks.”
Fatima's Story
When violence erupted in her village in Cabo Delgado, North Africa, Fatima had no choice but to flee. She walked for five days without food, desperately searching for safety. But even after reaching Mueda, danger followed. Forced to keep moving, she became a refugee in Marrupa, uncertain where her next meal would come from.
That’s when Penny Appeal’s Feed Our World stepped in. With nutritious food pack full of non-perishable items like rice, pasta, beans, and vegetables, Fatima could finally feed her children again - Alhamdulillah!
Three years later, home is still too dangerous to return to, and she fears losing the support keeping her family alive. She prays we won’t forget her.

This is the impact of your generosity. Together, we have provided food, water and vital support to those who need it most. Every donation, whether Sadaqah or Zakat, helps alleviate suffering and restore hope to communities facing unimaginable hardship.
We always aim to use your donation as intended. If that’s not possible, it will go to similar life-changing projects in the same country or a similar region. When you give to ‘where most needed’, your donation supports the world’s most vulnerable communities, based on expert guidance and our local partner insights. However you give, you can rest assured your donation is in the best hands!
What food do you provide?
The food we provide in each country is carefully selected by our teams on the ground to meet cultural or traditional norms, customs and preferences and ensure it is fresh, seasonal and locally produced. We pride ourselves on providing quality, nutritious meals.
Do you provide meals or food packs?
Both! We either prepare meals and host mass feedings or distribute food packs, depending on the requirements of the people we are helping and the situation on the ground.
When is food distributed?
Feed Our World is a year-round campaign, with extra feedings or food distributions taking place at key religious times and in response to emergency situations.
Do you work with other organisations?
Feed Our World is a flagship Penny Appeal project and we lead every aspect of its organisation and delivery. But we know that by working together with other leading charities and organisations we can do even more to help the poor and needy around the world. This is why we have several partners in the UK and overseas who we co-ordinate with on Feed Our World. Uniting with leading charities is a key aim and allows us to benefit from economies of scale, provide aid in harder-to-reach areas, and help even more people.
